Bird Watching

Back Packing
A 3-day pack trip through the back country to the top of 1,100 foot high Helmet Falls. The 1st night is spent in our wilderness cabin. The next day features a horseback ride through alternating woods and open slide areas until you reach the tent camp and settle on for dinner. The 2nd day is open hiking across mountain slopes beside the crystalline sides of a glacier, to our ultimate goal, top of the falls for an overwhelming peek over the edge to the cascade of water below. Once again you camp in the tents under the brilliant stars. The last day you ride back to lodge and head for home "IF YOU MUST".
Covered Wagon Camping
A very unique feature at Beaverfoot is the Covered Wagon Campground which is in operation from May 15th to Labor Day weekend. Weddings and wedding receptions are one of the most popular uses of the wagon train. Twenty wagons which sleep 2 people each circled for the night around a central campfire. These stationary wagons serve as bedrooms next to toilet and shower facilities. Meals are available on request. A perfect place for a family reunion or club meeting.
